THE ART OF COMBINATION

Posted By: JOAQUIN IGNACIO ROMANO on July 10, 2026
This video presents two macular hole cases treated with combined subretinal BSS injection and an ILM flap. Subretinal fluid improves retinal mobility and facilitates centripetal approximation of the hole edges, while the ILM flap provides a scaffold for glial proliferation and tissue repair. This synergistic approach may be useful in large, chronic, persistent, or recurrent macular holes.
