This video shows how I usually manage intraocular foreign body removal in a safer and more controlled way. After conventional vitrectomy, I injected cohesive viscoelastic until the equator was fully covered. Thanks to its physical properties, the foreign body appeared to float, allowing me to manipulate it more safely, even releasing and re-grasping it in a more comfortable position for removal.
