Lashed Out: An Eye Injury Story
This is a case of a 7-year-old girl with traumatic total retinal detachment. The video demonstrates a combined scleral buckle and vitrectomy approach. Intraoperatively, a subretinal eyelash was discovered, mimicking proliferative tissue. A healed scleral rupture was identified and closed. The video highlights management of pediatric retinal detachment with an unexpected subretinal foreign body.
