Uveal Effusion Syndrome
surgical management of type 2 uveal effusion syndrome (non-nanophthalmic eye with clinically abnormal sclera):
Inferior conjunctival peritomy with isolation of the inferior and horizontal recti. In the inferior-temporal and inferior-nasal quadrant dissection of a 10x10 mm partial thickness scleral flap and resection of a 2x2 mm scleral piece with exposure of the suprachoroidal space and drainage of the fluide. Suture of the flap with loose stitches.
