Retinal and choroidal detachment with PVR
This video shows the surgical approach of a pseudophakic high myope eye, with retinal and choroidal detachment and severe PVR. We demonstrate the main surgical steps that enabled a good surgical result: (a) use of an encircling 240 silicone band; (b) placement of an anterior chamber infusion; (c) drainage of the choroidal detachment and (d) pars plana vitrectomy with PFCL infusion, vitreous base shaving and peripheral endolaser, followed by fluid-air exchange and silicone oil infusion.
