Optic Pit Maculopathy and Lyophilized Amniotic Membrane by Marcelo Zas, MD, PhD
We present a case of a 42-year-old male patient with an optic disc pit and a secondary retinal detachment. BCVA was 20/200.
We made a 25 G PPV performing a big ILM flap in order to close it.
Postoperatively he developed a full thickness macular hole which was repaired using the lyophilized amniotic membrane technique. Final BCVA was 20/80.
