Limbal Lensectomy-Vitrectomy Surgery for Stage 5B ROP
This is a stage 5B ROP case. Following limbal entry and total lensectomy, bimanual dissection of retrolental fibrovascular tissue was started from the center by using a forceps and a scissors. Layer by layer dissection by segmentation of the membranes relieves the tractions on the retina and retina moves backwards slowly. You should never insist on removing all of the membranes which may end up with a retinal break and loss of the eye. Surgery ends up with FAX.
