L-SHAPE TECHNIQUE: Engineering for intraocular foreign bodies

This is a case of a 51-year-old male with an intraocular foreign body. The video highlights a different surgical approach for these difficult cases. Using one of our vitrectomy ports we create an L-SHAPE sclerotomy, in this way we reduce the incision length and make it safer than other wounds. In our opinion, this is an effective and easy technique that decrease intraoperative problems, allowing us to extract different kind of size and shape of IOFB.
