L-SHAPE TECHNIQUE: Engineering for intraocular foreign bodies
This is a case of a 51-year-old male patient with an intraocular foreign body (IOFB). The video demonstrates a different approach for the management of extraction. This technique gives you more safely due to versatility of it's irregular shape (reducing the risk of IOFB be stuck into sclerotomy or falling down) , quick and hermetic wound reducing intraoperative complications as hypotonia, bleedings, etc. This technique allows you extract different sizes of IOFBs without doing another sclerotomy
