Fibrin Glue hemostasis for persistent intraoperative optic disc bleed
Control of disc bleeders can be a challenge since these are not amenable to diathermy. These persisting disc bleeders are a significant cause of post operative vitreous haemorrhages. This video demonstrates a novel surgical technique where fibrin glue was used to achieve hemostasis for the management of uncontrolled intra-operative disc bleed. The fibrin coagulum resolved spontaneously within 1 week. This can help in early post operative recovery and avoid use of silicone oil tamponades
